Candidates seeking to apply for these positions are advised to update their one-time registration before filling out the application form. The application form, along with instructions for filling it out, will be available on the JKPSC website from 27th August 2023. It’s crucial to thoroughly review the instructions and eligibility conditions before submitting the online application form.

The last date for submitting the online application form, along with the requisite fee (online mode only), is 17th September 2023. However, candidates can edit certain fields in their online application form from 18th to 20th September 2023. Keep in mind that the eligibility for educational and professional qualifications and any other certificates will be determined based on the last date mentioned in the notification.

JKPSC Civil Judge Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Civil Judge (Junior Division) positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university or equivalent law degree recognized by the Government of India.
  • Age as of 1st January 2023: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 35 years.

Reservation and Domicile/Residence

Reservation categories are applicable, and candidates should possess valid requisite category certificates. Candidates must be domiciled in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir or residents of UT of Ladakh. A valid certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format is required.

Application Fee and Documents

Candidates need to pay an application fee, which varies based on the category:

  • General Category: Rs. 1000.00
  • Reserved Category: Rs. 500.00

JKPSC Civil Judge Selection Process

The main examination includes compulsory and optional papers, and successful candidates will proceed to the viva voce stage. A medical examination will also be conducted before the final appointment.
