Section A – Reading Skills
In this section, students will be tested on their reading comprehension through unseen passages. The section carries a weightage of 22 marks and includes the following:

- One unseen passage to assess comprehension, interpretation, analysis, and inference. The passage may be factual, descriptive, or literary.

This section evaluates students’ creative writing abilities and is worth 18 marks. It includes the following tasks:

Article/Report Writing, 120-150 words (5 Marks)
- Descriptive and analytical in nature, based on verbal inputs.
- One out of the two given questions to be answered.
- Assessment criteria: Format (1 mark), Organisation of Ideas (1 mark), Content (2 marks), Accuracy of Spelling and Grammar (1 mark).
